I think verses 19-21 are pretty self explanatory. There are things we can do on earth that will pay off in earthly terms, and then there are things we can do on earth that have a greater weight of reward in heaven. Jesus is telling us to focus on doing the things that will pay off in heaven. The eye in Jewish thought was symbolic of the kind of moral “vision” you had. A good eye was indicating you had good moral clarity and a bad idea showed you were corrupt. The last verse about choosing masters is also really self explanatory I think. We have to choose who we will serve in the world, the “king” of society (money) or the real King of Kings.
